Fly Fishing Arkansas

Your Arkansas fly fishing Adventure Starts Here

"I have fished with Matt and Rising River Guides several times. We had an amazing experience each time on the water. Matt is a super fishy dude, and you can immediately see how passionate he is about the sport, the fish, and the river. He can put you on fish in any condition with all sorts of techniques. I look forward to fishing with Rising River Guides many more times in the future!"

Why Fish with us?

fly fishing arkansas

fish with the best fly fishing guides in arkansas

Our Arkansas fly fishing guides are among some of the best in the country! We aim to provide professional, high-quality guiding services to every client that we fish with. From helping teach technique and proper setup of equipment to helping you choose the best locations in the river to fish, we help anglers do it all. With what seems like thousands of other guide companies here, here are some of the key pillars that we operate under and set us apart :

This is one of the most important values we have and we take it very seriously. There is always an inherent risk when interacting with the great outdoors. Due to the fact we fish year round, the changes in temperatures and the ever changing water levels, safety is paramount for us. We will always exercise our best judgement when it comes to inclimate weather and reschedule when necessary.  Our guides are all CPR and First Aid certified.

Stewardship of our tailwater fisheries and other natural environments in our area is our way of giving back to these places that we enjoy. These rivers, streams and lakes are home to hundreds, if not thousands, of species of wildlife and natural resources. From the different trout species we love to largemouth and smallmouth bass, walleye, and other types of fish species. Not to mention the insects, sculpin, minnows and shad that are an integral food source for the trout we love to catch! We do our best to follow Leave No Trace regulations and actively participate in conservation activities to keep these places clean. Catch and release is also a big part of our fight for conservation here. We want anglers to have access to these fisheries for generations to come and we hope you do too!

We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service to our guests. We cater our trips specifically to each fisherman that joins us, whether total beginners or experienced anglers. We go above and beyond to give you the best trout fishing experience possible, no matter your experience level. We do our best to provide all the gear you need including: rods, leader, tippet, and a diverse variety of flies in our fly box that is sure to have what you need for catching fish. In addition to supplying the right gear and all terminal tackle for you, we do our best to inform you about the natural history of this amazing place that we live in.

We hold ourselves to the highest level of professionalism within our industry. Our guides are experts at sniffing out fish. From reading the water to finding the right holes and pools that hold fish, our guides know it all. They are intimately acquainted with each fishery we guide on and search out the best ways to put you on fish during your trip. Our guides have a passion for fishing and for people and we do our best to get to know both on every trip.

The guides we have are lifelong fishermen. They operate with one thing on their mind, and that’s catching fish! They’ve guided on rivers around the world and have gained an intimate knowledge of this past time we all love. Our guides have done it all, from fishing the big tailwaters to wading for native trout high in the mountains. They know midges, streamers, nymphs and dries like nobody else. No matter the location you fish with us or whether your chasing number or size, your guide can put you on the fish!

We really believe this value is what sets us apart from others. We are much more concerned with showing our guests the time of their lives as opposed to just filling our boat. Sure, helping you pull a giant rainbow trout or cutthroat trout on your trip is amazing, but the thing we cherish the most is our time getting to know you! We hope that every guest we fish with leaves as a friend. Something magical often happens between the banks of a river and we’re grateful to experience that with you!
